Oh we can be heroes just for one day

After running out of all my series-to-watch list, I decided to follow friends’ advice and check out three that I had either just not got around to or was not interested in…

Not got around to = American Gothic
Verdict: A really interesting first episode and blood messages are always a winner; some bad acting but hey, you can’t escape that these days!

Not interested in = Buffy and Heroes
Verdict: Buffy was pretty much what I expected, bad high school comedy with vampires in the background. May watch more but don’t watch this space for updates.

Heroes had one of the worst opening episodes I’ve ever seen; a boring fifty minutes, filled with insipid main characters. Even though it had a really nice twist as an episode cliffhanger, it was truly terrible, with every super hero an irrating character.

I’d need a lot of convincing to watch another episode of this one…
