Important formula to remember

Web design + Mark = input error

No baby yet.

Okay, last night was not one of my better nights, as I ended up killing off one website (that god Gilgamesh) and seriously injuring another (the upcoming webzine). I am very keen to get better at the fiddly stuff within the world of web and have today ordered Word Press for Dummies and PhpMyAdmin and MySql for Absolute Idiots (or something like it) in the hopes of solving problems that I, myself, have made.

I didn’t realise the Word Press log in was so fiddly that you needed to go through a login on your own site that was pointed at that (problem number one) and have made the webzine pretty much inaccessible, due to this oversight. I actually know how to get it sorted but I am waiting for confirmation of a new host for it, as the one we had planned to have everything on turned out to be a load of crap.

I was up until two in the morning, which didn’t please the wife and Maddoc himself was reluctant to sleep, seeing stuff in the hallway that wasn’t there. He went to bed at seven and got up every half hour or so until about one, when he asked to be put in his own bed. He stayed there until six and then slept with us until eight (he was supposed to be at nursery at seven).

So not a good night overall and now I have to wonder what to do about these two sites – well one is a case of waiting for the details for the new domain but the other is a case of learning phpMyAdmin super quick.

Back later with exciting updates…
