Day Twelve: Group A final games [Predictions]

At this moment all four teams are still in with a chance of qualifying, although it’s very unlikely that France or South Africa will progress beyond this stage. Not even taking into account the fact that France need to win by a four goal margin and South Africa by five, they both know that even that is not enough if Uruguay and Mexcio draw in the other match.

There is a suggestion that Uruguay and Mexico won’t strain themselves for a win, being as it’s very likely that they’ll qualify anyway. I’m not so convinced being as it means that the second placed team in the group will more than likely meet Argentina and I’m sure they’d both rather avoid them at present.

France have also had to contend with their in-house squabbling and the fact that Domenec’s successor, Laurent Blanc (very popular with the French) has already been chosen and is just waiting for this disaster of a campaign to be over with.

Having the choice of either match today I think I might go for the French game, as it suggests atmosphere if nothing else.
